Welcome my sons.
Hilal Children Football Team
I’m calling you, I’m hailing you, I am with you.
It was a dream, it’s come true
Distance would separate hearts and years would wipe off memory
My heart lives with you, my mind soars into history,
Do you remember the fields of wheat; with our hands we ploughed and harvested.
The fruits that we picked; grapes, olives and pomegranates.
Conversed all summer nights, with old songs we were delighted.
I’m greeting you. Always happened in my dreams,
It goes away when I wake up, but later it recurs again.
Now, with my dreams, I came to be with you,
I close my eyes to continue to see you
I extend my hands, then hold them back. I want to stay in my dream
Sometimes my mind would soar away, but my passion will bring you back to me.
But now I see your your hands have waken me up, and your fingers are tickling me.
Is it true? Am I with you? speaking and listening and seeing thee?
I came with hope, with it I lived and dreamed.
Forgot my pain, my wounds have healed
With a rose I came, I want to plant it.
All over my land, nourish it and grow it.
I love my rose, but have to leave it. I gave a promise, I’ll come for it.
It turned to me, and with my tears I watered it. You are in me and never be abandoned.
Your fragrance I’ll always smell, in Jaffa and in Yabad
And in Al Aqsa, when a beloved one prostrates and prays.
Your fragrance will reach to Dublin from Ijleen,
And to all around Ireland from you my beloved Palestine
You’ll live, my rose, guarded by Salah Eddin
Martyrs’ blood, will feed you, from Aqsa and from Hitteen
You will be looked after, protected from the Dragons
You’ll be reminded of our past, taught our songs, and told our names.
Would you forget, my rose?!
My rose will live, protected by thorns.
Living in history; our past and news.
Our songs, it sings, our names, it calls.
There is no hindrance, and there is no excuse.
It will sing all nights until the dawn,
Dancing, and chanting, it won’t be alone
Distance no longer will separate us
Politics and games will not divide us
Nor bands and gangs will split us
Negotiations, no more, for us they were hopeless,
Heavy stick we broke, it is nothing but vain.
We have many wounds, but can restrain pain
To the martyrs we trill, they go like rain
They give life to us, and then come back again.
Against the jailer, we have rebelled
We were deprived, oppressed and wronged
Misguided by agents, and by cowards, betrayed
Let’s Come back to conscience, and to faith instead.
The torch of faith will glow and never fade.
Shining, bright, no darkness, no shade
The baby shall hold it, from cradle to grave
He will grow; redeemer, noble and brave
Waiting to march, wave after wave
A covenant I’ll inscribe on my hand and heart
I shan’t forget Al Aqsa, and my baby will keep up to that.
We remain one folk, and we stand all together
We say to the world, this is the matter:
We camp in Gaza, we look to the river
Akka and Haifa are both ours.
Coordination with enemy? do whatever,
starvation? We don’t bother
We’ll stay ready, longing and waiting, but not forever
We had unbearable pain. Is there more to suffer?
More tears? More anguish? We still have more patience.
Devastation, splintering? We got used to all of this
Despite tricks and cunning schemes, take it simple, with no big fuss
We are one People, we have one dream, and Palestine Binds Us.
